HDFS 350

Credit: 4 hours.
Using current child development theories and principles of play, students will gain practical experience in observing and assessing development while using play as a vehicle to advance the physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development of children. Students will implement their lesson plans in a diverse childcare setting with children from birth to age five.
Credit is not given for both HDFS 206 and HDFS 350. Prerequisite: HDFS 105. Not intended for students with Freshman class standing.
Students must register for one lecture and one lab section. Students are also required to attend a weekly meeting with their lab coordinator.
