Concepts of Information Behavior Theory

Credit: 3 hours.

This course will introduce students to the relationships between users and the information they encounter. Students will become familiar with the concepts of understanding the information needs and information behavior of users, as well as the methods of accessing and assimilating information employed by users. The course will also introduce a range of the major models and theories employed in exploring information needs and behavior.

Prerequisite: IS 204, or equivalent course.
