Covers current issues in various advertising areas not studied extensively in other courses.

1 to 3 undergraduate hours. 1 to 3 graduate hours. May be repeated in the same or separate terms to a maximum of 6 hours. Prerequisite: Announced separately for each topic. Restricted to students with Junior, Senior, or Graduate class standing.

Part One introduces students to an array of terminology, techniques, strategies, processes and practices related to a variety of advertising campaign solutions, with an emphasis on e-commerce. Students who successfully complete part one will receive professional certification from Amazon Advertising. Part Two will allow students to develop, pitch and implement a comprehensive campaign for real-world clients in collaboration with UI Faculty Global Overview executives. Students who successfully complete both parts of the course will receive 3 hours of academic credit. Students can earn a maximum of 6 hours for the Amazon Advertising Experience. For graduate students, this includes ADV 490 AMZ and ADV 590 AMZ. Meets with ADV 392 AMZ (76385). Restriction(s): Restricted to students with Graduate class standing.
