Section Info:
Cyber risk, cybersecurity and associated terminologies are introduced and explained as a foundation for the exploration of how threat identification and threat intelligence are critical to organizational security postures. Students will be introduced to a variety of concepts including the value of system and information access and availability, risks and benefits of data collection and use, increased critical infrastructure and attack surface vulnerabilities, information sharing, standards and the legal backdrop and compliance requirements, information science related career opportunities and the role of human behavior and ethical considerations.
