Lactation Biology

Credit: 4 hours.

Examines the structural and functional development of the mammary gland, cell biology, and control of milk synthesis, and composition and biochemistry of milk. Compares and analyzes the physiological processes of lactation in mammals.

4 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours. Prerequisite: ANSC 224 or equivalent.
