Social Media and Social Justice is an interactive course that introduces students to the complex dynamic between innovative social movements and social media technologies. The course will focus on the goals, strategies, and tactics that activate digital grassroots engagement. Students will examine the history of social movements and media activism, analyze virtual activist practices, create social media content, and apply strategic communication techniques to social justice campaigns and initiatives. *Eligible for the PR Minor: https://media.illinois.edu/pr_minor
