Credit: 3 hours.

Intended to improve creative and critical thinking skill in advertising planning by understanding the core technology and perspective of digital and other innovative media in the context of integrated communication. This will allow students to understand how consumers perceive and process digital advertising messages; to research critical questions in digital consumer behavior; to learn how to utilize digital and non-digital media in the context of integrated communication; to apply knowledge of digital communication technology to the real-world advertising cases.

Credit is not given toward graduation for ADV 360 and ADV 460. Prerequisite: ADV 250 or ADV 283; ADV 284. Restricted to Advertising or Agricultural Communications or Computer Science & Advertising or Ag Communications-Advertising major(s) or minor(s). Restricted to students with Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.

*Students must register for the Lecture and a Discussion/Lab section. Students who have completed ADV 460 should not register for ADV 360. While the number is different, the course content is the same. Registering for the new course would be seen as duplicate credit. Duplicate credit does not count toward graduation and students registering for the duplicate course will be asked to drop. Priority for registration is given to ADV, CS+ADV, and Ag Comm majors who started their collegiate coursework prior to or in Fall 2020. If seats are available, they will be released to majors who began coursework in Fall 2021 on April 13.
