Prerequisites: The pre-requisite of this course include: 1) graduate or junior/senior in undergrad; 2) proficiency in either Python or C/C++ programming language. This course introduces students to fundamental topics of principles, design, and implementation of computer networks, which serve as the foundation of our largest information sharing network: the Internet. Students will explore networking techniques and protocols using hands-on experiments over real world network and information sharing applications. Topics of the course include TCP/IP architecture, Internet protocols, socket programming, congestion control, switching and routing, local area networks, internet of things, network security, and resource allocation. Restricted to Information Sciences majors until 1/14/22 by noon. INFO Minors will be able to register starting 1/11/22 by noon.
