Section Info: Topic: Narrative, Sequence, Installation. This course will explore the narrative and poetics of sequencing and installing image-based work. The meaning of images will be considered through the context they situate in. Readings, lectures, screenings, and assignments will develop the use and understanding of serial imagery by engaging in a variety of sequences, books, zines, portfolios, web-based projects, and installations. Students should have previous experience with image-based courses/projects and have personal projects to work on. Physical prints are required to be produced throughout the semester. Restriction(s): Restricted to Graphic Design or Crafts or History of Art or Photography or Industrial Design or Painting or Sculpture or Art Education or Art and Design or Photography or Art Undeclared or New Media or Studio Art or Art and Art History major(s) or minor(s).
