Topic: Landscape 2.0. In this special topic course, students will use traditional and non-traditional painting/drawing techniques to explore how new technologies have shifted the ways we understand the landscape as an image, concept, and spatial construct. Pulling from resources such as Google Earth, video games, screensavers, tracking apps, social media, A.I.imagery, and historical landscape conventions students will explore how technological devices mediate our experience of the landscape and the painted surface in our post-analog world.
