Participation in faculty-supervised research as a member of a transdisiplinary team investigating questions related to the health and well-being of children and families. Students propose their own research questions and present findings developed from data gathered by the team.

1 to 4 undergraduate hours. No graduate credit. May be repeated to a maximum of 6 hours in the same term or to a maximum of 12 hours in separate terms. Prerequisite: Consent of instructor.

STRONG Kids TOPP-U
Section Info:
STRONG Kids TOPP-U. 1-3 hours. Focuses on risk factors and consequences of obesity throughout the lifespan. Students gain working knowledge of approaches to research across disciplines and transdisciplinary teams. This section is partially delivered in an asynchronous, online format that requires students to work on their own and carefully manage their time to cover course material. The curriculum format includes 20-minute micro lectures and biweekly discussion sessions. Instructor permission required for registration. This course will be offered via Compass.
