Description: This seminar is an introduction to the historiography of science and science and technology studies (STS). It will explore major themes and approaches in the historical study of science and technology in order to introduce some of the central problems and methodologies professional historians of science focus on. It is not a research seminar, will foster a greater appreciation for how a consideration of science and/or technology might be relevant to individual areas of research. Weekly readings are organized primarily around methodological themes, and will include major books and articles in history of science and STS.
