Classroom activities preceding travel will teach the skills needed to undertake research of the project design and implementation (performed by others) to assesd the effectiveness of the process. Student participants will visit the project site in Lumbisi, Ecuador, and conduct research to evaluate both the technical design process of Engineers Without Borders-UIUC volunteers and the community engagement and interaction with the process. Course prerequisite: ENG498/ANTH399/CHLH494/GLBL499/UP494 Investigating Sustainable International Development.
