Special Topics in Epigenetics Epigenetic mechanisms that alter gene expression in the absence of changes in DNA sequence are fundamental for normal health and development, and have been implicated in a variety of diseases. In this course, students present and critique scientific papers that have shaped our current views of various molecular mechanism that mediate epigenetic regulation with the goal of developing the ability to critically assess current and future epigenetic research.
