Prerequisites will be enforced. In this course, we will study the functions, institutions and basic problems involved in marketing goods and services. You will be introduced to the terminology of marketing, the foundations of marketing strategy and the concepts of marketing planning. Recently, I taught this course online and it has changed the way I think about teaching. I want to bring the best of both online and face-to-face (F2F) learning together into a BLENDED learning model. This means that we will replace some in class sessions with online activities. The class sessions will be used to initiate discussion on the topics relevant for the week and/or provide a summary to close discussion on a topic. The class will be scheduled for a 3-hour block. The first 1.5 hours will meet in formal face-to-face instruction. The remaining 1.5 hours will be spent in online interaction and group meetings.
Restriction(s):
Restricted to Food Science & Human Nutrition or Curric Unassigned or Accountancy or Finance or Advertising or Marketing or Business or Information Sys & Info Tech or Supply Chain Management or Business Process Management or Management major(s) or minor(s). Restricted to students with Sophomore, Junior, or Senior class standing.
