Through guided experience, students identify and offer advice to local small business firms; exposes students, serving as consultants, to the wide variety of problems facing the smaller firm as well as enables them to apply current business methods to real problems. Students work in teams.

Credit is not given for both BADM 445 and ENG 465.

This class will allow students with an interest in start-ups, new venture creation, and entrepreneurship to explore this field through a mix of classroom lessons and hands-on projects. Course projects will require students to consult directly with a start-up company. This real world exposure will allow students to explore the exciting world of new venture creation and angel investing. This course will develop a deeper understanding of marketing, finance, operations, and business strategy through practical application.
