Understand and apply current scientific research and principles of equine science to intensive horse production. An in-depth approach to equine reproductive physiology, nutrition, anatomy and exercise physiology will be followed using a combined lecture and laboratory format. Emphasis on current research and hands-on techniques.
Prerequisite: ANSC 206, ANSC 222 or equivalent, and credit or concurrent enrollment in ANSC 224 or equivalent; or consent of instructor.
