Credit: 1 hours.

The comparative anatomy of zoological species commonly encountered in clinical practice will be discusses in lecture format followed by laboratory dissection of cadavers. Additionally, radiographic anatomy of these species will be discussed. Species covered include representatives of the taxonomic Classes Chondrichthyes, Osteichthyes, Amphibia, Reptilia, Aves, Mammalia. Cadaver specimens include bony fish, sharks, frogs, iguana, turtles, snakes, birds (chickens, sparrows, or pigeons), and rabbits. Emphasis will be placed on anatomical differences as related to domestic species. Meets for one hour of lecture and two hours of laboratory each week for eight weeks.
