Elec Music Techniques II

Credit: 2 hours.

Advanced study in the use of voltage-controlled synthesizers in music composition and study of compositional, technical, and performance considerations in combining electronics with traditional instruments and/or voices in music composition.

Prerequisite: MUS 407 or placement by examination.

Intermediate level analog and digital recording, digital editing, mixing, processing and synthesis techniques are presented, and then used by students during lab times. Prerequisite: Music 407 or placement by examination.
