TOPIC: Spanish Literature I: Works and Writers. Fictions of Difference: Race and Ethnicity in Early Modern Spain. This introductory course to Hispanic Literature explores the constitution of the Spanish identity from Middle Ages through the XVIIth century. The course will emphasize the heterogeneity of Medieval and Early Modern Hispanic world. All seats reserved for Spanish major seniors during the early registration period. Non-registered students are not allowed to sit in or audit. Students must meet the prerequisite requirements for this course (found in the Catalog Entry) or will be told to drop on the first day of classes.
