Aquatic Sport Activities

Skills and knowledge essential for leisure-time activities which are classified as aquatic sport activities. Prerequisites for each aquatic sport activity are provided in the Class Schedule. More than one activity (Sections A through Z) may be taken in the same term.

The ability to jump or dive into deep water while clothed and maintain a survival position for 10 minutes. For current fees, see Schedule. A one day field trip on a Friday to a local river/lake is required. First class meeting will take place in the Activities and Recreation Center (formerly IMPE Building) on Peabody Drive. The class will be held in the meeting room. Additional class activity fee of $100.00 required which includes equipment (canoes, PFD's, paddles, etc.) and supplies used throughout the 8 weeks course.
