Prerequisites and descriptions for each developmental activity are provided in the Class Schedule. More than one activity (Sections A through Z) may be taken in the same term. Introductory skills and knowledge for development of life time activities in basic backpacking, basic river canoeing, and mountaineering techniques (balance, climbing, and rappelling). Includes participation in one field trip during the term. Prior to enrolling in this course, students must have basic swimming skills. The class will include two required half-day field trips on Friday afternoons (dates to be announced). The first class meeting is in the Activities and Recreation Center (formerly IMPE Building) located on Peabody Drive in the meeting room. Course Material fee $100.00 for equipment, facitlities, supplies and class activities.
