Credit: 2.5 TO 3 hours.
Lecture and clinical demonstrations on surgical diseases and their diagnosis, operative treatment, and after care, together with appropriate laboratory practice. The fracture fixation laboratory is a case based laboratory experience for students to apply decision making processes and gain hands on experience with implant application.
Prerequisite: Third year standing in veterinary medicine curriculum or consent of instructor. Students taking the fracture fixation laboratory must be concurrently enrolled in the lecture portion of the course.
