Info Storage and Retrieval

Credit: 3 OR 4 hours.

(LIS 329) Introduces problems of document representation, information need specification, and query processing. Describes the theories, models, and current research aimed at solving those problems. Primary focus is on bibliographic, text, and multimedia records.

3 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours.

Basic UNIX and basic HTML skills helpful.
