(GEOL 350) Introduces basic concepts related to the physics of the Earth's interior. Topics include formation of the Earth; its composition, gravity, shape, internal temperature, and magnetism; seismology; plate tectonics; and geodynamics.

Same as ASTR 452. Credit is not given for both GEOL 452 and GEOL 450. Prerequisite: PHYS 212 and MATH 242.
