Credit: 3 hours.
(GEOL 116) Introduces non-science majors to important geologic processes and their consequences on a planet-wide scale. Evolution of geophysical, geochemical, and atmospheric systems as well as the interrelationships between deep-seated and surficial processes of terrestrial bodies are discussed. Processes both unique to the Earth and common to other terrestrial objects are included.
Credit is not given for both GEOL 116 and ASTR 121.
