Design methods; time domain modeling; trajectories and phase plane analysis; similarity transforms; controllability and observability; pole placement and observers; linear quadratic optimal control; Lyapunov stability and describing functions; simulation. 3 undergraduate hours. 3 graduate hours. Prerequisite: SE 320 and MATH 257 or MATH 415.
