In this course, students will gain foundational knowledge in managing a low-input, diversified market farm. The course will introduce the farm ecosystem from soil and seed to harvest and market, including crop planning and best management practices. This is the first of four courses required for the Small Farm Certificate Program with the Sustainable Student Farm (SSF), though it can be taken independent of the certificate.
