Predictive Models & Atomistic
Section Info:
Predictive Models and Atomistic Simulations: Meets with CHBE 594 AM. Modern computational methods have opened up new possibilities for predicting novel catalysts, materials, and molecules using computers, offering an alternative to the traditional approach of "trial-and-error" experimentation. This course provides a comprehensive overview of cutting-edge advancements and theories that underpin these computational discoveries. As part of the course, students will gain practical experience in writing computer codes to make predictions about the properties of model molecules, chemical reactions, and liquids.

Section Title:
Pharmaceutical Engineering
Section Info:
Pharmaceutical Engineering. Course focuses on the development and manufacture of small molecule pharmaceutical products. The course will cover solid oral dosage forms, sterile formulations and active pharmaceutical ingredients produced by traditional synthetic chemistry approaches. Intellectual property considerations, as well as regulatory requirements constraining the industry are considered. The class follows the pathway from molecule discovery through the development of the active pharmaceutical ingredient, formulated drug product and the commercial manufacture of both the drug substance and the drug product. Meets with CHBE 594 PHA.
Restriction(s):
Restricted to Undergrad - Urbana-Champaign.
