- Section Info:
- Meets in 407 Morrill Hall. Biodiversity loss is occurring at an alarming rate, particularly for pollinator species, increasing the need for sensitive, rapid, and cost-efficient pollinator assessments. Environmental (e)DNA is an emerging tool in the entomologist’s toolbox for surveying pollinator biodiversity, understanding plant and pollinator networks, unpacking complex arthropod interactions, informing conservation interactions, and much more. In this seminar, we will explore these innovative, cutting-edge eDNA/eRNA technologies and methodologies within the broader context of pollinator conservation.
