Explores major aspects of college students’ mental health, including anxiety, depression, suicide, eating disorders, and substance misuse. Students will explore how behavioral theories and research inform prevention and intervention strategies to facilitate psychological wellbeing on college campuses. Cultural and contextual factors that shape wellbeing will be discussed throughout. Designed for students in all majors, topics in this course include common mental health challenges and factors that promote flourishing, resilience, relationships, and mindfulness.
