Credit: 2 hours.

Students will, in partnership with a community service partner, and through cultural humility training provided by University Extension, understand and apply public and community health principles, bridging the gap between individual patient care and population health. Students will design or propose a community innovation to present to the community partner leadership and faculty at the end of the course.

2 professional hours. Approved for S/U grading only. Prerequisite: Completion of the first year. Restricted to students enrolled in Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
