Credit: 3 hours.

Provides an in-depth study of sport brand management. Students will learn how to build and manage brands pursuant to the development of brand equity and how to brand architecture strategies and manage brands over time and across geographic boundaries. Students will apply theories and models of branding to sport branding scenarios and making sound business decisions. Student will gain an understanding of the importance of branding and its impact on consumer behavior.

Prerequisite: RST 325 (Marketing in Recreation, Sport and Tourism) or equivalent marketing course or consent of instructor.
