Section Info:
Title: Game Development in The Context of Educational and Psychological Research Description: This seminar will provide a broad overview of unmoderated remote research procedures used with children and families and practical experience developing educational/psychological research studies using Unity game development software. After understanding the fundamentals of unmoderated remote research procedures, students will use Unity to develop 3 small-scale practice studies before creating their own study as a final project. All studies will be built using Unity's visual scripting, meaning students DO NOT need prior coding experience or experience with Unity to succeed in the course. In addition to the 11:00am - 12:20pm lecture on Wednesdays, students will be expected to review and complete 1 hour and 20 minutes of asynchronous video lectures each week, which are designed to introduce core concepts prior to that week's lecture. Undergraduates should register for this section.
