Course title: Electron Transfer Reactions Course description: Survey of mechanistic and energetic considerations involved in both inner and outer sphere homogeneous electron transfer reactions. Topics covered will include proton-coupled electron transfer and photoinduced electron transfer. Examples selected from the literature will encompass molecular and biological systems with applications in energy conversion and catalysis. Prerequisites: One semester of inorganic chemistry (CHEM 312 or equivalent) and one semester of organic chemistry (CHEM 232 or equivalent).
