Choral Conducting Symposium
Section Info:
Topic: "ILLINOIS CHORAL CONDUCTING SYMPOSIUM." This course will meet June 17-21 only. Instruction will begin on Monday at 9:00 am and will end by Friday at 5:00 pm. The course offering is for 2 credit hours. Join other choral educator-conductors in a five-day workshop led by Dr. Andrea Solya, Choral Conductor and Professor in the University of Illinois School of Music and Hilary Apfelstadt, guest clinician and Professor Emerita at University of Toronto. As a symposium participant, you will experience daily seminars, generous podium time, and personal consultation with Professors Solya and Apfelstadt. Repertoire to be studied and the topics examined will be sent to all participants. Registration requires a $600 workshop fee in addition to any tuition and fees for academic credit. Workshop enrollment is limited to 14 conductor-registrants.
