This course will give an introduction to the study of knots, 3-manifolds and 4-manifolds using Floer homology. It will introduce the basic properties of these theories, sketch how one (Heegaard Floer homology) is constructed, and survey some of the main applications. A modern exposition based on Heegaard Floer homology and focusing on the functorial properties of the theory will be given. Restriction(s): Not intended for Undergrad - Urbana-Champaign.
