Coding for Journalists
Section Info:
This course focuses on teaching computer programming using the Python language. It is intended to serve as a foundation for future data storytelling courses and journalistic work. Students will explore topics such as structured programming and the basics of data analysis: retrieval, cleaning, querying, and visualization. Upon completion, students will be able to understand computer code and create their own algorithmic solutions for a data-driven news environment. No previous programming experience is required.
