Section Info:
Reviews major challenges in Italian grammar, with particular emphasis on the verb system (morphology, major tenses and moods, and aspect in some cases). The students enhance their ability to understand, speak, and write Italian through extensive practice of the main grammatical structures of Italian. The review of the usage of main grammatical categories is integrated with a large and varied selection of contemporary print, audio, and visual texts that provide a comprehensive analysis of the language in practice, embedded in knowledge about Italian society, culture, and history. A large number of these texts focus on the status and role of women in Italy.
