Minoritarian Aesthetics Independent Study

Credit: 1 TO 4 hours.

Independent study of a theoretical or creative project on a topic in the field of minoritarian aesthetics. Minoritarian Aesthetics is an interdisciplinary field focusing on performance and aesthetics as inseparable from social life. It values minoritarian practices and community involvement across the arts as a lens to examine the complex worlds we communally navigate and share. Students in this course engage in study beyond the current MA course offerings with attention paid to original research.

1 to 4 undergraduate hours. 1 to 4 graduate hours. Approved for Letter and S/U grading. May be repeated in separate terms to a maximum of 8 hours. Prerequisite: Instructor approval required.
