This course is an introduction in which students will gain a better understanding of the structure and function of the human eye, including an introduction to tools and testing for proper diagnosis and treatments. Students will also learn about various ocular diseases including co-management of ocular and systemic diseases. This will include an understanding of when and why to refer to other specialties.
No graduate credit. 2 professional hours. Approved for S/U grading only. Students may repeat this course up to 4 hours in separate semesters. Prerequisite: Restricted to students enrolled in Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
