Economic Systems in Africa
Credit: 3 hours.
Examines the fundamentals of economic development in Africa. It will provide students the tools and concepts to think about development in a way that is consistent with economic theory, informed by empirical research, and practically connected to policy. The course will discuss issues that the region faces related to economic growth, poverty, population, health, education, gender, agriculture, and climate change.
Same as AFST 254.
The course meets twice a week for 1:20 minutes each time.
