SHOW FINAL EXAM SCHEDULE

Credit: 1 hours.

Provides students with professional career exploration experiences that involve developing networking knowledge and skills while engaging with recreation, sport, and tourism industry alumni and professionals in their offices, agencies, and facilities. Students are exposed to best practices and current challenges in the industry, and are given opportunities to make connections for internships, mentorship, and career advancement.

Additional fees may apply. See Class Schedule. Approved for S/U grading only. May be repeated in separate terms to a maximum 3 hours.

The $160 Fee includes hotel and transportation. In addition there will be three one-hour class times scheduled with the trip. Attendance at the meetings is mandatory. This course gives student a career exploration experience that involves developing networking skills while engaging with RST industry alumni and professionals in their offices, agencies, and facilities. Best practices and current issues will be explored. Students will have the potential to make connection for future internships and career advancement. Past visit examples include stops at Wintrust Arena, Navy Pier, Oak Lawn Ice Arena, Many Park Districts, Toyota Park, Schaumburg Sport Center, Wrigley Field, etc… Fees cover hotel and transportation.
