Studies personal wealth management techniques with an emphasis on life insurance products; covers life insurance policies, annuities, trusts, buy-sell arrangements, investing in stocks, bonds and mutual funds, banking and barrowing, purchasing residential and commercial real estate, income and estate taxation and management of personal financial portfolio.

This course explores what it means to build wealth, to be a good steward of wealth – for yourself and for others, and what it means to create and sustain generational wealth. In this class, we will address the question, how do you keep money and make it work for you, your family, and the causes you care about? The FIN 300 prerequisite is waived, but students must be enrolled, or have completed, FIN 221 before enrolling in this course. This online section is restricted to declared Business Minor students. Gies Study Abroad students should contact the Study Abroad office for permission to register.
