Grant Writing for the BehavSci
Section Info:
This course will prepare students for every stage of the review process for federal grant applications. The course will focus on funding guidelines and application procedures for the National Institutes of Health. Students will learn how to optimize strengths and minimize weaknesses of grant applications to increase the likelihood of earning a fundable score. Students will be provided a broad overview of multiple funding mechanisms (F series, R01, R03, R21, and K awards), and they will learn how to identify the most relevant agencies and research opportunities for their work. By the end of the course, students will have a portfolio of grant application materials required for submitting their first NIH grant. Grant applications will undergo a mock evaluation according to NIH criteria.
