Representing the Holocaust
Section Info:
The Holocaust in Context treats literary and filmic representations of the Holocaust. While a single course cannot do justice to this complex topic, we will read four novels and screen five films concerning cultural representations of victims and perpetrators, and Holocaust denial and documentation. Please note that you are required to read regularly and screen all films outside of class. Attendance at all class sessions is mandatory. Class discussion is important to our study and consists of screenings, discussions, formal weekly online responses, and two exams. Same as CWL 273, ENGL 269, and JS 261.
