Section Info:
In my choreographic research I am looking to find relationships between visual, rhythmic, emotional and other aspects of construction, without incorporating unison. We will start each day with a basic warm-up geared to support each dancer’s body on their path of discovery. I will begin by sending out movement “seeds” and watch over the development as each individual creates their own solo in collaboration with me. From these I will derive a governing principle to shape the work. It is an investigation into the tension between single authorship and community effort, and we will engage in discussions regarding this and other attendant subjects as we formulate our final work.
