Section Title:
Microhydrodynamics of Soft Mat
Section Info:
This course will provide an introduction to the non-equilibrium dynamics of soft materials and complex fluids at small scales. Course topics are focused on the motion and flow phenomena of soft materials such as colloids, polymers, anisotropic particles, and capsules. This course will explore the non-equilibrium dynamics of Brownian and non-Brownian particles in flow, including a quantitative treatment of stress development in colloidal suspensions and polymer solutions, in order to gain a quantitative understanding of hydrodynamics in soft materials.
Restriction(s):
Restricted to Graduate - Urbana-Champaign.
