We will focus on different topics or presenters each meeting to create actively engaging conversations. The seminar will provide time over the course of the semester for students to learn about each faculty member and the work they do; to learn more about the why/when/how of the course sequence in the BLA program; to meet returning students to learn more about the student experience in the Department and; to discuss resources, practical information, and studio culture. This is a required class for students new to the department (first year students and transfer students).
