Cultural Competence in Public Health

Credit: 4 hours.

Cultural competence education increases public health professionals' cultural awareness, knowledge of self and others, communication skills, attitudes, and behaviors. This course will examine theoretical models in public health and explore community-based programs as they relate to cultural competence and health promotion.

4 graduate hours. No professional credit. Prerequisite: Restricted to MPH Graduate Students.
